WordPress relaunch

Is your hotel website running on WordPress, has it become slow or does it break after updates? We move content, addresses and rankings to a system that gets by without plugins.

In short

A relaunch from WordPress to a Next.js website with Payload CMS pays off when load time, maintenance effort or the embedded booking widget cost you bookings. HOHEIT takes over texts and images, redirects every old address permanently and connects availability and booking directly. The costs follow the packages, from 4,900 euros for hosts and from 18,000 euros for hotels.

For hotels

No more plugin updates before the high season, no security warnings in your inbox and a booking path that fits the brand.

For hosts with holiday rentals

Your site becomes faster, easier to maintain and finally shows real availability instead of a contact form.

How you can tell a relaunch is due

  • Load time

On a smartphone the site needs several seconds before the first image appears.

  • Updates

Every WordPress or plugin update is a risk, and nobody in the house wants to trigger it.

  • Booking widget

The booking runs in an embedded window that is cut off on a smartphone or jumps to a foreign address.

  • Maintenance

New offers need the agency because the page builder has become hard to follow.

What is kept during the move

Rankings depend on addresses, content and links. Before the move we record every address of your old site that Google knows or that brings visitors, and redirect it permanently to the matching new page. Texts that rank well we carry over in substance instead of reinventing them. Images are recompressed, metadata is kept or improved.

What changes

Instead of WordPress with plugins, a single application runs website and editorial system together. Pages are generated in advance when you publish; only prices and availability come live. The interface for your team is tidy: rooms, offers, pages, images. How the new website is built overall is described under direct booking website.

Process

  1. Review

addresses, rankings, content, forms, embedded services.

  2. Redirect plan

every old address with its target.

  3. New build and content transfer

    .

  4. Switch-over

domain, redirects, submitting the new sitemap in Search Console.

  5. Monitoring

four weeks of checking error pages and rankings.

Running costs compared

With WordPress, besides hosting there are often licences for premium plugins, a booking widget and maintenance for updates. With our websites hosting, updates and monitoring are included in the monthly fee, and there are no plugin licences. Which option is cheaper for you depends on your current contracts. We work it out with you in the first conversation.

When WordPress can stay

If your site is fast, maintained securely and the booking works cleanly, we advise against a relaunch. Structured data and a better booking path are then often enough. The free technical check shows this.

Frequently asked questions

Will we lose our Google rankings in a relaunch?

With a clean redirect plan, usually not permanently. Short-term fluctuations in the first weeks are normal, which is why we monitor the site after the move.

Can we take over our WordPress posts?

Yes, posts and pages are transferred to the new editorial system and revised where needed.

How long is the website offline during the move?

As a rule not at all. The new website is built and tested in parallel, and switching the domain usually takes only minutes to hours.
